My 7 Favorite Jeans in Rotation (Plus How I Style Them!)

Favorite Jeans in Rotation

As a professional stylist who wears denim five to six days a week, it’s no surprise that I’ve developed a deep love, and very specific opinions, about jeans. I’m constantly asked, “What’s your favorite pair?” But the truth is, I don’t have just one. My wardrobe rotates through several denim styles that each serve a purpose, fit beautifully, and make me feel like myself.

Below, I’m sharing the 7 pairs I’m loving right now. Some are new finds, and others have been in my rotation for years. Plus, I’m sharing styling tips for each one so you can see how I wear them and why they’ve earned a permanent spot in my closet.

R13 Crossover Boyfriend Jeans

This pair has been in my closet for over six years, and it’s still going strong. The asymmetrical high waist is super flattering and helps elongate the legs, while the cuffed hem and vintage wash give it a perfectly relaxed vibe.

Why I love them:

The crossover waistband is unique but wearable, and the wash is timeless. I love how they instantly add edge to a casual outfit.

Style Tip:

Dress it up or down, these jeans pair effortlessly with sneakers, boots, and heels. They look best with the top tucked in a little to see the front waistband which elongates the leg. The cuff also comes down to make them full length if you prefer. They’re a chameleon in your wardrobe.

AMO Slim Straight Jeans

These were actually a hand-me-down from my sister, and I wasn’t sure at first, but they’ve become a go-to! While they lean more “slim” then I am used too, they’re incredibly flattering and wearable for everyday.

Why I love them:

The fit is forgiving and easy, with a subtle slouch that feels modern but not sloppy. AMO jeans really hug in the right places.

Style Tip:

Reach for these on busy days. They’re great with loafers, slides, and sneakers for day if you hem them above the ankle. Wear them at night with a pretty strappy sandal or pointy toe boot.

Nili Lotan Shon Jean

A longtime favorite, the Shon jean is the perfect soft barrel-leg style. It has a light, breathable fabric that makes it a dream to wear.

Why I love them:

This jean has been in my rotation for over four years.  The comfort is unmatched and the leg shape is flattering and the cut is very stylish with a cool edge.

Style Tip:

This style works year-round and with every shoe: sneakers, boots, flats, and even heels. Add a tucked-in blouse for a polished look, and too elongate your bottom half.

Khaite Wide Straight Leg Jean (On Sale Now)

If you're looking for a cool-girl wide leg, this is it. It has a high rise, lightweight feel, and slightly oversized fit that just works.

Why I love them:

It’s incredibly comfortable (especially in Miami heat), but it also delivers that elevated, minimalist style Khaite is known for. They are pricey, but on sale now.

Style Tip:

Wear with a kitten heel and tank for a sleek, polished look or style casually with a tee and sneakers. Runs slightly large, so consider sizing down.

Madewell Menswear-Inspired Jean (On Sale Now)

A more affordable option that doesn’t skimp on style. This pair is the perfect straight leg, mid rise jean. It’s a style borrowed from the boys.

Why I love them:

It’s versatile and affordable, making it a solid staple for both daytime and evening.

Style Tip:

These jeans can easily go from day to night. I’ve styled them with heels, sandals, and flats…everything works!

Anine Bing Bruno Jean in Washed Smoked Gray

The Bruno Jean in smoked gray from Anine Bing is incredibly wearable and modern. I just love this jean so much because of its versatility. It works with almost anything and everything I pair it with.

Why I love them:

The neutral gray shade pairs well with almost  everything, and the fit is that perfect balance between structured and soft.

Style Tip:

Style it with a fitted tee and blazer for a chic day look, or dress it up with a chunky knit and ankle boots for evening. The gray adds a fresh, modern twist to any outfit.

Pistola Lana High Rise Ultra Wide Leg

My #1 favorite jean right now, and very affordable! I wear these every week, especially on vacation, because they go with everything.

Why I love them:

The fit is phenomenal…high waist, flattering through the hips and thighs, and just the right wide leg opening. It’s a win for both comfort and style.

Style Tip:

I had mine hemmed to work with kitten heels, which means they also work with sneakers, slides, and even flat shoes. They’re incredibly versatile and so flattering!

There’s no one-size-fits-all jean, and that’s the beauty of denim. These seven pairs cover every base, from casual to polished, wide-leg to barrel, and they’ve all earned a place in my stylist toolkit (and in my closet). Whether you're rebuilding your wardrobe or just want to find that one perfect pair, I hope this gives you a great place to start.
